What is the construction for? How long will it last?
Read all about it in the November 22nd issue of The Windham Eagle. We anticipate that the renovations will be completed and we will the fully-renovated library will open on Monday, April 9th.
Will the library be closed? Will library programs be effected?
The library is remaining open for business as much as possible. However, the library will be closed one last time to finish out renovations: March 19th through April 8th. A few off site programs will still take place during our closed dates so check our calendar for program cancellations, program venue changes, and venue details.
Can I access the dropbox to return items? Can I renew my items? Can I still request items & check items out?
Our book drop will remain accessible for items that are due. You can try to extend due dates any time by renewing online. Some items may be in storage, however, patrons are still able to use Minerva to request items.
What about parking? Access to public computers & study space?
Parking may be limited due to the storage trailers and construction equipment in our lot. Check across the street at Town Hall for availability as needed. We have some computers accessible, but there may be periods when there is a wait. The wireless printing is still available. Study space is very limited and there may be noise from construction work.
Have other questions?
Unfortunately our phone system will be down for the last part of the renovations. We have extended due dates as much as we can and will not charge fees for the first week that we re-open. This is an exciting project and while there will be some short-term inconvenience, the long-term benefit will be worth it! Thank you for your continued patience and support.
