Meeting/Study Rooms & Proctoring Exams
The meeting room on the first floor is available at no charge to non-profit groups. Groups who use the meeting room agree to certain guidelines contained in the Meeting Room Agreement. Please contact Barbara Keef at 207-892-1908 for further details.
There is a small study room on the second floor near the circulation desk. It is suitable for individuals and small groups (up to four people) who agree to follow the Study Room Use Policy. Please check with a staff member for availability of this room.
A proctored exam is one that is overseen by an impartial individual (called a proctor) who monitors a student taking an exam. At the Windham Public Library, there is no charge for proctoring a test. However, all proctoring must be pre-arranged. It is the student’s responsibility to contact the reference librarian at the library to arrange for a time to take a test. The library will receive tests for students, provide a librarian to set up the exam and sign any necessary paperwork. After the student finishes the exam, the library will send the completed test back to the institution, but the student is repsonsible for any postage, unless it has been prepaid.
If you have questions regarding test proctoring, please contact Barbara Keef at the library at 892-1908.
