VOLUNTEERS
Here at the library we are very fortunate to have from six to ten volunteers who come in on a weekly basis.  While the volunteer work is mostly comprised of shelving, our volunteers also cover books, organize the bi-annual book sale, keep our items in circulation by repairing anything from a few loose pages to broken bindings, and help out with various other projects that arise.  For every item that goes out of the library, another one comes back, and during especially busy times the books and materials waiting to be re-shelved tend to pile up.  Luckily we have a great group of volunteers who come in daily and shelve everything from fiction, to movies, to paperbacks, to large print.  Getting these items back where they belong can be a monstrous task, and without the help of these giving individuals it would quickly become overwhelming.  All of our volunteers provide a tremendous amount of help, and are greatly appreciated by the library staff.

If you are interested in volunteering, or would like more information about volunteer opportunities, please contact us in person (at the Adult Circulation Desk), by e-mail (igruber@windham.lib.me.us) or by  phone @ 892-1908.
