The Friends of the Windham Public Library was organized in 1972 and is a voluntary organization. The purpose of the Friends is “to promote interest in and welfare of the Windham Public Library as a cultural and educational study/research center.” The financial support of the Friends funds some special projects like speaker fees, special events and programs, and the passes to the Maine State Park, Children’s Museum, and Maine Wildlife Park. All are welcome to attend the Friends meetings; contact the Library Director for more information.
